Mums are Cool Again as They Become Their Children’s Best Friends
Great news for the UK’s mums, because it seems mums are one of their children’s best friends.
According to 43 per cent of adults, their mum is one of their BFFs and 29 per cent visit them at least once a week.
More than 2000 people took part in the survey by One4all which found that mums were not just a parent, they played a big part in an adult child’s social life.
And it’s mum that 31 per cent will be turning to first with good news. Equally, in the difficult days, 30 per cent would head straight to mum if they were in trouble.
Teen years are the most trying, with a good six years passing between 3 and 18 years of age before realising, that actually, mum isn’t so bad after all.
And despite the bad press they get, millennials are the age group making mums cool again, with the 25-34 year olds making mum their BFF.
