Mums use baby monitors to check up on their own partner
New mums just can’t trust others to look after their baby, with 55 per cent feeling nervous when their child is in the care of their mother-in-law, best friend, mother and even their own partner.
Baby monitors have become the new best friend with 80 per cent using one and 15 per cent only using one with video capabilities.
Mums also use the devices to secretly check up on their partners (21 per cent) and even the babysitter (10 per cent).
The study by Withings also finds a lucky 52 per cent of new mums actually have a couple of hours a week to themselves to relax from their parenting duties.
