My Wookey experience by Chopsy Baby competition winner
Bristol mother Sarah Williams, was thrilled when she won a family ticket to Wookey Hole Caves through a Chopsy Baby competition. “It is the first competition I have ever won. My family was so excited to get the chance to visit the attraction as we have never been before,” Sarah says.
Sarah was keen to share the experience she and her six-year-old daughter Eve had visiting the caves.
“We arrived at Wookey around 10.30am which proved to be a good time as by 11.30am the queues were already starting. From the look of the brochure we expected a packed day so wanted to make the most of it. We weren’t disappointed. The caves were the first stop and were magical as predicted but very cold so take jumpers.
“To finish all that Wookey has to offer it would take you five hours at leisurely pace. They have crammed into a small valley a procession walk way which takes you past a fairy grotto, dinosaurs, and a clown school show and more. It’s quite a mix. An adult would think it perhaps too busy and too mixed, but somehow in our children’s 6 and 7 year old minds it made sense.
“A family ticket which will include everything costs £49 pounds for 2 adults 2 kids, which after the sharp in-take of breath and taken into perspective does seem good value for money…where else could you get a full 5 hours of fun for a whole family. They don’t try and take any more money off you after that, unless you count exchanging new money for old pennies in the slot machine museum. Our only added expense was ice creams at the ice cream parlour situated outside which proved the incentive to finally get our kids to leave!”
