Nailsea sports club gets cash grant

A North Somerset cricket club has been given a grant to aid its coaching development.

Nailsea Cricket Club has been awarded a £785 grant by Cash 4 Clubs.

The Nailsea club, which was formed in the 1950s, has recently introduced new teams and fixtures, requiring additional coaching.

Committee member, Adam Blower said: “We’re simply delighted to have been given a grant. We’re using the money to put volunteers on Level One and Level Two coaching courses. With more qualified coaches, we can increase our participation in schools and offer cricket to more people without having to increase the financial burden on our current members through further subscriptions”.
