Nation wallowing in filthy beds
A worrying trend for wallowing in filth has been revealed in a study of the nation’s cleanliness habits.
According to Indesit, one in ten people in the UK only wash their bedding six times a year.
Unless bedsheets started to smell, a fifth of people wouldn’t enter into the effort of washing them.
Four in ten people admitted that the stress of trying to fight sheets and duvet cover back onto the be was the reason they failed to wash them.
More understandably, 61 per cent rarely iron their sheets and 49 per cent would rather dedicate their spare time to drinking in the pub.
Further filth facts were also found during the study of 3,000.
The average bathroom is only cleaned once every eight days and carpets vacuumed when there was too much dirt and grime to see the pattern.
