National vote for community farm pig house

Fresh from the success of securing the future of Windmill City Farm, now the team are appealing to help  pay for a new roof for Rosie The Pig.

The farm is calling on its supporters to vote for the roof project on the Bovril Great Outdoors revival website for a chance to win £20,000.

Detailed proposals have been submitted for Rosie’s shed and should the farm win it will cover the costs of replacement beams and a new roof.

The community farm has made the judges’ Top 100 short list and it’s votes from members of the public that count.

A spokesperson for the farm said: “Votes for the farm show the judges that we are truly valued by our community. We bring a little bit of the great outdoors into the heart of the city and offer free access for all. As a charity, winning fundraising awards such as these is what keeps us in business. As the only Bristolian project in the Top 100 shortlist we urge the whole of Bristol to back our bid.”

The deadline to vote is 28 February and votes can be cast at: www.bovril.co.uk/revival
