Neptune Statue in Bristol Cordoned Off
The statue of Neptune in Bristol City Centre, has been cordoned off this morning. Other than a crushed can of alcohol in its hand, there are no signs to explain why.
The statue can frequently be seen wearing traffic cones or clutching bizarre items with his hand or trident.

Sculpted in 1723 by John Randall, the statue has moved around the city several times.
Most recently it was moved from the top of Cascade Steps to its current location back in 1999 as part of the changes to Bristol City Centre.
