New toilets at Oldbury Court Play Park don’t end poo problem
A brand new set of toilets is the finishing touch to the newly revamped Oldbury Court Play Park.
The Fishponds play area has just been given a £530,000 makeover and new accessible toilets including baby changing facilities are to replace the temporary loos.
Chopsy Baby visited the park to test out the new play area.
The enclosed play area is a vast improvement on previous equipment though concrete areas around water play features could become dangerously slippery.
What we did find to be impossible was to walk or play in the main grassy open areas of the parkland and even walk along footpaths without treading in copious amounts of dog faeces.
We could not decide whether it was worse for the owners to leave the dog mess out in the open to keep parents on their toes, or to bag it up and throw it into bushes preserved for eternity.
It was observed that this was not local local people with their mutts, but those who had purposely driven to the park to walk their dog and drive home again, thus not defecating on their own doorstep.
