Nominate an outstanding Bristol child for award

Children and young people living in Bristol who have demonstrated an excellence or overcome significant barriers to success can be nominated for an award.

The deadline is approaching for the Bristol Young People of the Year Awards.

Individuals or groups can be nominated for awards in five difference categories:

Education Award. For young people who have worked to improve their own achievement and enjoyment in education.

Active Award. For young people who have demonstrated sporting excellence or improvement, or who have overcome significant barriers to taking part.

Creative Award. For young people who have demonstrated creative excellence or improvement, or overcome significant barriers to participation.

Enterprise and Innovation Award. For young people who have demonstrated vision, initiative and creative problem solving in a business or social enterprise.

Volunteering Award. For young people who have made a sustained contribution to volunteering in their communities.

As well as winning one category, an overall young person winner will also be selected to become an  ambassador for young people in the city.

People aged 11 – 25 can be nominated and the winners will be selected by a panel of young people.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, 23 October 2009 at 5pm.
