Not loving their second child puts parents off extending their family

While news stories dominate the headlines proclaiming that couples put off having one or more children due to cost, there are other underlying reasons that parents seem less keen to discuss in the open.

Research conducted to try and discover  parents’ worries when it comes to having more children found that 11 per cent of those who already have one child are simply scared they won’t love their second child as much.

The findings come from research by MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, who questioned more than 1,200 UK parents who already have one child.

While finance was still found to be the dominating factor – 26 per cent of parents aren’t having more children due to the cost, a further 21 per cent just didn’t want a second child at all.
