Parents fear gang cultures

One of the biggest fears for parents is that their child may get involved in gang violence or knife crime.

According to a survey carried out by PleaseCallMe, one in ten parents were also concerned about drugs and 2 per cent worried their child may be having sex.

With all these worries, parents also become incredibly stressed when they are unable to to contact their child on their mobile.

PleaseCallMe has come up with a new service to help children keep in contact with their parents when they have run out of phone credit.

Parents can register their child’s mobile phone number to 67600, then if the child has run out of credit and need to get in touch, the service sends a message saying ‘PleaseCallMe’ costing just 50 pence and paid for by the parent.
