Parents help bogged down children complete homework
Savvy schoolchildren are delegating homework to their parents to complete because they are given too much to cope with.
More than 2000 parents took part in a poll to find out about how children managed their homework.
While the average primary school child must complete an average of four pieces of homework every week, secondary school students are being forced to do an average of 12.
Of the parents taking part in the study, 61 per cent admitted helping their children complete the work, with 23 per cent saying they completed it without any input from the child.
Parents said they completed their child’s homework simply because it was either too hard, or they had too much homework to fit in after school.
Science, maths and history, were the top difficult homework subjects, according to VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, who carried out the study.
