Parents’ regrets about how they raised their children

Parents plagued with guilt about mistakes they make when raising children also harbour deep regrets about what they wished they had done differently.

A study by MyMemory.com, researched the top regrets parents had about the way they had approached parenting.

Around 1,872 parents with a children aged between 2-4 years, took part in the study with the final results showing:
1 Wish I’d taken more photos of the baby- 63 per cent
2  Wish I’d not given the baby a dummy- 58 per cent
3  Wish I’d moved the baby into a separate room sooner- 51 per cent
4 Wish I’d recorded more videos of the baby- 49 per cent
5  Wish I’d breastfed- 45 per cent
6  Wish I’d not succumbed to cries so easily- 42 per cent
7  Wish I’d not let my baby sleep in same bed as me- 37 per cent
8  Wish I’d not rewarded good behaviour with junk food- 36 per cent
9 Wish I’d kept track of ‘firsts’ such as first word, first steps- 32 per cent
10 Wish I’d socialised my baby more- 29 per cent
