Perfect family rock pooling in Clevedon

Clevedon is a Victorian seaside town with a pebbled shoreline and restored Grade I listed pier.

It is a perfect location for a half day visit. When the tide is out there is the commercially unspoilt Ladye Bay with plenty of rock pools and stones to explore.

For the energetic, a stunning cliff top walk – not ideal with prams on wet days. For those who don’t want to wander too far, free parking, an ice cream and the old pier (charge applies) recently restored and dating from 1869 is easily accessible.

Clevedon is ideal for families who don’t mind a bit of mud and hunting for crabs in seaweed draped rock pools. This is a great way to spend a few hours and doesn’t need to cost a penny.
