Photographic competition to mark Down Syndrome Day

 

A special photo competition is now open, aimed at parents whose children have Down Syndrome.

Mark’s own daughter Amelie was born in January this year and has Down Syndrome.

Mark says: “Despite screening, a low risk factor and negative prenatal test results, she was born with Down syndrome. It’s now irreversibly a part of our life, and that’s something that my wife and I are educating ourselves on, and quickly coming to terms with.”

World Down Syndrome Day is on Friday 21 March this year, with the photograph competition closing on Monday 24 March.
