Police Appeal For Information After Stapleton Road Area Disorder Bristol
Bristol police are appealing for information and witnesses after violence broke out in the Stapleton Road area of Bristol on Saturday 23 June at 11pm.
Around fifty people were gathered at a property on Fox Road when disorder broke out resulting in a 23-year-old man being stabbed.
The man was taken to Southmead Hospital though police say ‘his injuries are not thought to be life threatening at this stage.’
Officers are examining CCTV footage and carrying out house to house enquires. They assure local residents that they will increase police presence in the community.
Detective Inspector Mark Almond said: “We’re carrying out a thorough investigation into this incident which we believe is an isolated one.
“There were a significant number of people in the area at the time who could well have seen what happened and I’d like to encourage them to contact us if we haven’t already spoken to them.
“If you saw any part of the disorder please call 101 and tell the call handler you’re phoning about incident 5218138726.”
