Project-B Monthly Wellbeing Box Review
Parents who have already been through pregnancy and childbirth will already know the old contenders when it comes to pregnancy packs and gifts.
There is of course the Bounty Pack, Emma’s Diary, Boots, Huggies and Sainsbury’s all with varying degrees of usefulness.
But really, the odd can of sample sized caffeine-free Ccoke and yoghurt coated fruit bits along with a ton of marketing leaflets and series of cold calls just isn’t worth the hassle – thank you Emma’s Diary.
And, being handed a pack of ‘useful essentials’ in the post natal ward bursting with fabric softners and cleaners was completely useless. Thank you Bounty Rep for bursting in without invitation.
Useful essentials to a new parent in the first 24 hours would be king-sized chocolate bars, a cooling pack for episiotomy stitches and a bottle of chilled white wine. Washing powder is a complete insult.

This is where Project-B excels. It may not have the chilled white wine, but it couriers exactly what mums-to-be, need straight to the door.
There are 7 boxes in total, starting from pregnancy month four. The final box is due to arrive at the same time your baby is due. Each box costs £14 and can be ordered as a one off, a gift or for the entire series of seven boxes.
The value of each box grows throughout the subscription. Box 1 is worth £14.40, while Box 7 is worth £32.52.
As well as being packed with products, four large cards contain useful advice such as a recipe, shopping advice or tips on staying active.
Best of all, the box contains no marketing material and products are relevant to the stage of pregnancy you are currently at.
At £14 per month, it’s a little pricey at first glance. But actually, it’s worth ditching the free packs and paying for a decent product.
We reviewed Box 7 of the ten month pregnancy journal. Inside this pack of perfection includes the fantastic Halos N Horns Moisturising Lotion, Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Diaper Ointment and Love Boo Baby Massage Oil. There’s no cheap tat. These boxes and their contents have been designed really well.
Project-B was founded by Amber Bamford, a mum-of-two who worked with some of the UK’s leading brands and experts to create the boxes.
Amber says: “For many women, pregnancy is like embarking on this great big adventure without a map. I created Project-B to nurture mum on that journey; giving her products to try out and ideas, information, tips and advice to read – all of which is tailored to each specific month of pregnancy. Every box is designed to be beautiful and exciting to receive so mum-to-be feels nurtured, confident and informed.”
Amber has certainly achieved her vision with the Project-B boxes. Box 7 was exciting to open and explore with plenty of lovely and useful products.
Editor Jen Smith Says: ‘I remember receiving marketing calls from companies who had been given my details through Emma’s Diary. But they were at 9pm at night waking up the baby who had just gone to sleep. Livid didn’t cover it. This is a much better alternative. Completely self-indulgent and a great way of trying and testing different products that may be life savers.’
Best for those: Who love the novelty of Graze boxes
