Report broken glass to council

Members of the public are being urged to report broken glass on pavements or cycleways in a bid to prevent possible accidents.

A new council hotline is dedicated specifically to this service and the council is committed to making sure the glass is cleared within 24 hours.

The phone number is 0117 9222100 and is open from Monday to Friday 8.30am to 8pm.

Executive Member for Transport and Sustainability, Councillor Jon Rogers said: “Cyclists and pedestrians in particular find broken glass a menace. A small investment from last year’s budget has allowed us to introduce this simple service.”
