Debbie says: “I don’t have that one cupboard under the sink containing all my cleaning products. After an incident involving a toddler, Vanish stain remover and a muddled call to NHS Direct, I had to move all my household cleaning items to various locations around the house to keep them out of reach. This is surprisingly difficult as there are washing powders, fabric softeners, bleaches, kitchen cleaners, washing-up liquids, stain removers, bathroom cleaners, floor cleaners, disinfectant, car wash, polishes and for some reason – caustic soda.
“This is why I was particularly impressed with Alma Win’s Washing Cream. Immediately, with one bottle, I can ditch around 90 per cent of my other bottle clutter, leaving just one product.
“I gave up all of my usual products for one week to give Alma Win a thorough testing. I was a little concerned about using the same thing to clean the toilet as to do the washing up. But, having used it, I still appear to be standing. It has a fresh smell without the chemical twang and has worked successfully around the house.
“During a week’s use, I have managed to remove some minor staining on the carpet. I have washed the bathroom, swapping my Big Bad Dom for Alma Win. It didn’t irritate my hands as bleach usually does and still managed to achieve a fresh smell with shiny tiles. Though the concentrate is cream based, the bath and shower base were not slippery.
“I used the cream when mopping the kitchen and bathroom floor. The tiles came up a treat and again were not left slippery.
“I also used it for the week’s laundry, which left clothes smelling fresh and clean.
“Though it says you can wash the car with it, I didn’t get around to testing this part out. There is only so much cleaning you can do in a week.
“There is an element of planning ahead with the product, such as perhaps recycling the dish water to soak out old dish cloths. Or, using a bowl to clean the bathroom, then using the rest to mop the floor.
“It was nice that as my hands were constantly in this to wash one thing or another with it, they didn’t get red or irritated.”
