Review: Dennis and Gnasher: Fangs for the Memories

Fangs for the Memories contains plenty of monster naughtiness and Halloween fun in Beanotown.

The new BBC DVD features eight new episodes following the mischief of Dennis, Curly, Pieface and of course ASBO dog Gnasher.

The series manages to retain the original aspects of what made Dennis so popular in the Beano without becoming politically correct. There is even a surprising amount of working class animosity towards the Softies.

But Dennis and friends manage to stay on the right side of good natured misbehaviour.

Parents be warned. Though the DVD will make ideal Halloween party entertainment, little boys erring on the naughty side may find in Dennis an inspirational role model to emulate.

It does contain some scenes very young children may find a little frightening and contains the concept of vampires, death and coffins.

At just £7.99 this is a snip for 31 October party entertainment for children aged six and above.
