Review: Max the Brave by Ed Vere
It’s a cute and somewhat retro styled book with its simple and elegant illustrations and uncomplicated storyline.
In fact, it’s quite refreshing to read a children’s storybook free from annoying typeface and adult orientated design.
Max is a kitten who sets out to prove he is brave. In a simple twist on semantics, he ends up chasing a monster instead of a mouse.
It’s perfect bedtime reading for gentle children aged two-years upwards.
It doesn’t try to be clever or witty and is a relaxing read for both adult and child.
