Our Verdict: It’s been working for us

Our Rating: 10/10

Head lice can be a total headache for parents during the primary school years. Getting rid of them is time consuming and expensive. It seems that no matter how much checking and caution you exert, some other parents in your child’s year group simply don’t treat their children’s hair. Ever.

But there is no need to wait for the nits to invade in the first place.

Vosene Kids is a hair care product designed to repel the pests from children’s hair.

Whilst it always helps to tie back children’s hair, the 3 in 1 Shampoo combined with the Conditioning Defence Spray has been a hit in this house since Christmas.

Chopsy Baby’s Jen Smith says: “We have been really lucky with head lice. There have been none at all. That is until Christmas 2015 when a particularly severe epidemic infested the children’s schools. I have been using the Vosene Kids 3 in 1 Shampoo when washing their hair. Then most mornings the Conditioning Defence Spray when brushing their hair. Since using these products there have been the texts from school warning parents that the nits are back in class. But we have not had a repeat episode.”

The products contain natural tea tree oil, lemon eucalyptus oil and citronella oil. As a result of this, they do have quite a strong aroma. Citronella is said to repel spiders, so it’s a win win product for us.

If your child has thick or difficult hair to comb, the conditioning defence spray is ideal. Not only will help to repel head lice, but it makes difficult hair much easier to comb.

It is worth noting that the label should be read carefully. The tea tree aroma may not always be suitable for children with epilepsy or asthma.
