Sainsbury’s Pet Food Recalled – Pet Food Pouch Selections

Sainsbury’s Pet Food Recall for Dogs and Cats:

A selection of Sainsbury’s own pet food pouches is being recalled due to high levels of Vitamin D which exceeds the maximum recommended intake for the animals it’s aimed at.

Animals consuming high levels of Vitamin D during a short amount of time – over the course of a few weeks or months – should not experience problems.

Those eating food with excessive levels of Vitamin D during a prolonged period of time may experience lethargy, stiffness, vomiting, diarrhoea or excessive urination (polyuria).

The Food Standards Agency issued a recall notice for the following:
