Scuba diving Santas raise more than £6,000 for RNLI

Christmas came early to Radstock’s Vobster Quays this year, as 161 scuba diving Santas performed a simultaneous dive to raise money for charity.
The dive – now in its fifth year – raised more than £6,000 for the RNLI’s annual SOS Day 2012.
This year, the divers beat their own 2009 record of 158 Santas, manging to add another three.
From Vobster Quay, Jason Brown said: “We are over the moon, the day was full of festive cheer with red and white fluffy outfits everywhere you looked. We were delighted that we managed to get 161 of the divers underwater at the same time to beat our previous record. The weather was especially kind to us meaning everyone was able to enjoy the post dive hot tea and mince pies on offer.”
