Sleepytot’s winning design will stop parents panicking
Congratulations must be extended to the person who came up with the durable name and phone number label on the Sleepytot. There are many reasons to love this cuddly bunny, but any toy with the most basic of tracking devices must surely be a hit.
Up and down the country there are parents aging quickly trying to keep tabs on their baby’s beloved teddy. some are regularly filled with horror when they arrive home to find an irate child and no teddy bear. The name label is a fantastic idea backed up with four Velcro straps, which can be used to attach the toy to a car seat, buggy or dummy.
The Sleepytot is safe for newborns and is a substantial enough size to become the prized for life soft toy. There are so many soft toys around all clamouring to become the special one, but the functionality of Sleepytot must put it head, shoulders and bunny ears above the competition.
In the early months of a baby’s life there is now good reason for them to suck a dummy should they like it. Recent research has shown that a baby who sleeps with a dummy reduces their risk of cot death. Parents who have babies that like to sleep with dummies also know the trauma of having to get up and down all night looking for it when it falls out the child’s mouth.
If a baby is at an age where they are able to move or wriggle should they become hot, uncomfortable or agitated, then giving them a Sleepytot with spare dummies on may be a good idea. As the child gets old enough and associates the toy with the dummy then they will be able to sort themselves out.
Chopsy Baby found a Chopsy child to test out the Sleepytot. The one-year-old child has a very beloved Mr Soft Dog who is so precious he is not allowed out of the house. He doesn’t have a name and address label. The test child is also far too much of a dummy fan which is beginning to hold back her speech.
We felt we would try a bit of an experiment. We gave the Sleepytot to our one-year-old to see what the reaction would be. It was examined and quickly discarded in favour of Mr Soft Dog. So we then attached a dummy to each of the toy’s straps. At first there was anger from the child that this audacious bunny had come into the house and taken her precious things and was trying to worm its way into her affections.
Eventually after a couple of days of dummy attachment the child began to associate the toy with comfort so when she wanted her dummy she got herself the tot instead. Totty, as it has become known is now one of the precious toys that the child wants to sleep with. The great thing is the parents now feel perfectly at ease to leave the house with Totty because it has a great big name label on it. Thank you Sleepytot.
