Southville Primary in Bristol to create 30 more reception places
An extra 30 reception places have been created at Southville Primary school for September 2012.
For one year only, the school will be doubling its intake from 30 to 60 places.
Improvements planned at the school including an extension and expansion into a former caretaker’s house will allow the school to take on the extra children.
Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, Councillor Clare Campion-Smith, said: “These 30 extra places come at just the right time for Southville parents. The extra spaces will benefit the whole community as more children are able to walk to their nearest school. We will be working with the school community to ensure that the extra provision is ready for the new school year.”
