Sparks Bristol Opens in Former Marks and Spencer Store

Sparks Bristol has finally opened its doors in Broadmead this weekend, aiming to bring a hub of ‘sustainability, creativity and education’ to the centre of Bristol.

The space has been co-created by Global Goals Centre and Artspace Lifespace – with design by Invisible Circus. It’s hoping to become a place where its visitors can explore concepts behind what a ‘greener’ and ‘fairer’ creative future looks like.

The former Marks and Spencers store closed its doors in January 2022 after 70 decades in the city. Sparks Bristol now hopes their ‘department store with a difference’ will support residents to take action on climate change through pre-loved stalls, food and drink, arts and affordable performance space and rehearsal studios.
