A new line of baby basics featuring specialist sensitive skin fabric, has just launched at a UK supermarket.

Vests, babygrows, pyjamas, dribble bibs and mitts, are some of the clothing made with Dreamskin polymer technology available from George.

The  fabric is a medically registered material approved and prescribed by the NHS for babies with sensitive skin.

Now the new Dreamskin range is the first available to buy on the high street.

The polymer technology is applied to cotton, which helps babies with sensitive skin conditions like Eczema.

The fabric reduces friction and also repels residue from detergent.

The George collections starts from £2, compared to the price of an NHS prescription, or around £80 through private healthcare.

George’s senior director of buying for mens and kidswear, Jonathan Tillery says:  “We strive to continually innovate in our baby department to ensure we are giving Mums the best quality, the best ranges and the best prices possible.  Our Dreamskin range is perfect for all babies during this hot weather, but especially for any babies and toddlers who are experiencing difficulty with sensitive and irritable skin complaints. It is the kindest fabric Mum can buy to make their baby feel more comfortable and help them to get a better night’s sleep.  ”

George’s Dreamskin range is available on George.com.
