Star Wars Plasters and Frozen Plasters from Elastoplast Review
Our Verdict: Good quality fun plasters that actually work
Our Rating: 10/10
It’s not often one can get excited by plasters, but these new Star Wars and Frozen designs from Elastoplast proved great fun during a trying week.
The range features lots of favourites, including Darth Vadar, R2D2, The Millennium Falcon, Queen Elsa and Olaf.
The special designs have been created to help children heal psychologically as well as physically, by covering small wounds with friendly faces.
Speaking for Elastoplast, psychologist Corinne Sweet says: “Putting on a plaster and a bandage can have a ‘placebo effect’, helping the child feel tended to and cared for, aiding rapid recovery. The fact that the new Elastoplast plasters feature children’s favourite Star Wars and Frozen characters further helps this, allowing children to recall the pleasant experience of watching well-loved films and to imagine the characters caring for them.”

And it’s not just children who will enjoy these fun plasters. Trying to break in a new pair of Fly London boots with an irritating zip top and breaking-in rubbing in all the usual places is so much better with Stormtroopers. You can’t fail to smile when you zip down a boot after a hard day and are suddenly faced with Yoda.
They’ve also been marvellous for my nine-year-old son, covering up worrisome cannula skin breaks after general anaesthetic this week. And my six year old daughter has been looking for the slightest scratch so she can slap a Queen Elsa proudly over the top.
Whilst usually the first aid box is topped up with cheap pound shop plasters, it’s been an eye opening reminder why proper branded plasters such as Elastoplast are so much better. They are well wrapped, stick well, don’t come off when they shouldn’t and have also caused no discomfort during removal. It’s a case of sometimes buying premium brands is better because they actually do the job well.
Boxes of Elastoplast Star Wars and Frozen plasters are available to buy from shops across the UK with an RRP of £2.60.
