Stressed mothers need holiday to get over holiday
Family holidays are more stressful than a day at work according to legions of mothers gearing up for the final getaways.
One in four parents say getting the kids packed and ready for a holiday is more exhausting than dealing with busy days at work and entertaining the kids during a day at home is no easier than getting away.
The thought of organizing and entertaining children caused mums to shudder in fear, even before the final bell for the end of term had even sounded simply because of the stress ahead.
The research from Teletext Holidays discovered what most mothers already know, that 80 per cent of mums need a holiday when they get back home to relax from the stress of going away.
If dealing with the children isn’t bad enough, one in ten mums were annoyed to find their partner won’t help with the kids with 36 per cent even falling out with each other over this.
