It was first published in 1978 and will still be a Christmas Classic when the sun finally dies a billion or so years from now.

Raymond Briggs’ The Snowman is on a par with The Nativity during December. The original book is ideal as a Christmas gift for a young child who has not had the pleasure of receiving it yet.

The bittersweet story is beautifully illustrated with a unique wordless narrative featuring excitement, adventure, humour, friendship and loss.
