Things to do with Babies and Children in Central Bristol – M Shed

The M Shed is one of the things Bristol City Council got completely right. And the fact it’s totally free to get in makes this one of the Must Do places for families in Bristol.

There is so much to see, do and touch. Children will love being able to jump on and off the Lodekka bus, press buttons, explore air raid shelters and find out about the history of their local area.

But the M Shed is not just inside, it encompasses the dock side features outside. This includes an operational steam train, steam crane, electric crane and steam tugs. You will usually find The Matthew moored up outside too.

There is a small charge to go on some of the working exhibits such as the steam train on the dates it runs. And don’t be caught out! The M Shed closes on Mondays.
