Tried and Tested: Tamielle’s ethical handkerchiefs for children

Tamielle, the ethical trader and design label is aiming to revive the role of the handkerchief as both a functional product and one of beauty.

The Handkerchief Club, a company created by Tamar Kovener, produces lovely designs for both men, women and children. No one need ever run out of tissue or find pockets of ancient toilet roll nestling in winter coat pockets again.

The handkerchiefs are made by women working from home in rural parts of Bulgaria, with the company aiming to create work for people living in developing communities.

The dainty designs on the children’s range will encourage youngsters to use and look after their handkerchiefs.

There are designs suited to both boys and girls, including cars, caterpillars and fairies.

Children bring coughs, colds and diseases home from nursery and school on a weekly basis, so if you are struggling to find a youngster a practical and pretty present, one of these handkerchiefs will be perfect.
