UK drinkers clock up units on holiday

Britain’s big drinkers consumed an average eight alcoholic drinks every day of their summer holiday this year.

The numbers come from a new survey from the Know You limits Campaign

A typical summer break lasted ten days for respondents who are effectively clocking up 80 pints and more than 200 units in just over one week.

More than a quarter of holidaymakers admitted to the campaign that they drank three times or more than usual whilst on holiday.
