Swimming is a popular family activity and swimming lessons are a vital life skill.
The hard part of swimming comes when the fun is over. There is the wet miserable scramble for clothes, dropping socks in puddles and scrapping for a changing room. There is that horrible post pool sticky feeling, the bacteria ridden floors, cold or scalding hot showers, the way clothes stick to skin and hats hurt hair as they are pulled off. It’s a miracle anyone goes swimming at all.
At Chopsy Baby we have been reviewing the Vosene kids Hair and Body Wash After Swim. It genuinely does cut down on one major misery in this family. Having two children with sensory sensitivities makes for a miserable post pool experience. Both are extremely sensitive to the way the smell, chlorine and pool water feels on their skin causing sensory meltdowns after swimming.
Chopsy Baby’s Jen Smith says: “I had been using conventional shower gels for after swimming but never found one that would completely remove that tacky feeling that busy pools, especially in holiday resorts can leave.
“My younger child has just started swimming lessons and I thought this would be a marvellous time to try out a dedicated after swim shower gel. This one is particularly good because it is suitable for scalp as well as skin so cuts down on at least a bottle of shampoo.
“It has a fresh melon aroma and strips off the smell and tacky feeling of chlorine. My daughter also has very long hair and usually needs a detangling shampoo to avoid dreadlocks but this was not necessary with this product.”
The tear-free formula includes an Aromaguard TM technology. If this is the lovely fresh watermelon scent not only does it work but it smells lovely. It is also free from soap, SLS, SLES, parabens, MIT and suitable for babies from three months upwards.
