What If…? by Anthony Browne – Book Review

The fears of both a mother and son are laid out in an age appropriate way, as Joe nervously makes his way to his friend’s birthday party.

Joe’s hyperawareness causes him some anxiety, as he worries about every aspect of the event that could go wrong.

With distraction, Joe’s mother entertains him along the way, until of course he reaches the party and has a wonderful time.

A good book for children who display some degree of anxiety at social occasions.
