Occasionally, a book comes along that is almost impossible to describe in words.

Sophy Henn’s picture book Where Bear? is one of those rare books. A book that is so beautiful in terms of both production value and illustration, that finding words to do it justice is an impossible task.

If you close your eyes and think back to a time when you were sat at playgroup, listening in awe to a story, this is probably one of the types of picture books you would remember.

Where Bear? is a book of beauty that is rooted in the talent of its illustrator.

It is a tale of a friendship between a boy and bear cub. When the cub grows into a full-sized bear, the little boy sets about helping his friend find his way back to his natural home. Of course the life-long friends stay in touch by telephone.

We absolutely love this book and to find one that engages the adult as much as the child is a real achievement.
