Women Do Business to help women work for themselves

A new Women Do Business group is launching in Dartmouth next month, aiming to support women looking to work for themselves.

The group is being set up by Dartmouth Apprentice, a training restaurant in South Devon for the long-term unemployed.

The new group will support women by providing training, networking and support services.

The 4 October event will feature a talk by Nina Stanesby, the Dartmouth Apprentice restaurant manager who being a single mother understands the difficulties mums can face.

Nina Stanesby said: “Its brilliant to be hosting the launch of this new group which will aim to help and empower women trying to get on and do well in business in South Devon. We are delighted to be involved, as the Dartmouth Apprentice is dedicated to increasing opportunity for all, be it our apprentices or those wanting to move on in business.”

The launch event will take place on Monday October 4 from 10am till 12.30pm.

Drinks and pastries will be provided and potential new members will be able to plan the activities the group wish to embark upon.
