63 per cent of primary school children own mobile phones

UK primary school children are being lavished with expensive top notch gadgets according to gift site PrezzyBox.com.

In fact, 3 in 5 under tens own their own mobile phone and three quarters own a PC or laptop.

Half of parents made the pricey purchase after giving in to constant pressure and nagging from the child.

But though 1 in 4 gave their young children a mobile to keep in case of emergency, 54 per cent of parents admitted not monitoring their child’s usage in any way.
