Bristol boys charged following Panorama and police investigation
Four people have been charged with offences as a result of the BBC programme Panorama.
Sean Ganderton, aged 22, and Martin Durnell, aged 18, are jointly charged with racially aggravated harassment with intent to cause fear of violence.
Two boys, both aged 11, are jointly charged with attempted robbery.
One of the boys is also charged with a further two counts of attempted robbery and one of racially aggravated harassment, with intent to cause fear of violence.
The men will appear before Bristol Magistrates on February 11 and the boys will appear before Bristol Youth Court on the same date.
The charges follow an investigation which started last October after a Panorama expose into racism in the UK.
Two Asian reporters working undercover lived in the Southmead area of Bristol for two months.
One was also abused after making a visit to the St. Anne’s area of the city.
