Parents bothered by extra unpaid hours and interrupted by work issues this Easter holiday

It’s impossible for most working parents to take time away from their job to spend 100 per cent of their time family focused.

In fact, alldayPA found that 36 per cent of parents would be interrupted by work issues during their Easter break this year.

Some parents said they had resigned themselves to carrying out around 4 hours of unpaid work while away and many having to take work calls and respond to emails.

They may be smart, but they’re not clever when it comes to encroaching upon valuable family time.

Spokesperson for alldayPA, Sue Ratcliffe said: “Smart phones are an incredibly useful tool, but they blur the boundaries of work and home.  Recent studies indicate that as a nation we’re becoming more and more addicted to our smartphones and perhaps need to make a conscious effort to put them to one side, especially during holidays with our families.”
