Women feel less prepared for new baby then dads
Just for once, research by Aviva has found that when it comes to the arrival of a new baby, dads are more prepared than mums.
A whopping 67 per cent of dads feel prepared for the first six months compared to just 52 per cent of mums.
This difference has been put down to the different roles that parents take in the run-up to birth day.
One in five first time dads take responsibility for sorting out the family’s financial wellbeing whilst mums busy themselves with birthing preparations.
Facing completely unknown and unpredictable labour, it’s not really a surprise that women are twice as likely to panic or feel scared whilst men have the luxury of just being excited.
