Bath learner drivers must sit theory test in Bristol or Swindon

Bath learner drivers will have to sit their theory test in Bristol or Swindon as the theory test centre in the city is set to close.

From 31 August 2011, the centre will merge with those located in Bristol and Swindon.

Whilst the Bath centre has the capacity to deliver more than 25,000 tests every year, it only conducted 9,000 in 2010.

DSA chief executive, Rosemary Thew said:”As the theory test centres in Bath, Bristol and Swindon all have spare capacity it is not cost effective to keep all three centres running.”
