Bristol City Council holds workshops to improve EHCP process
Bristol parents, carers and young people are being invited to take part in an online workshop to help improve the Education, Health and Care (EHC) process in the city.
Bristol City Council is developing a new EHCP portal so that those who have made a Needs Assessment Request will be able to view the process in real time.
The new portal will send out updates when things have changed, as well as allow parents and carers to view documents such as professional reports and contributions to the plan.
There will also be a direct messaging system improving communication flow between caseworkers and parents.
The council is holding a series of free online events in October to demonstrate the portal and gather feedback to see what works well.
Dates for the online workshops are:
Monday 05 October 2020 from 2pm to 4pm
Tuesday 06 October from 2pm to 4pm
Wednesday 07 October from 10am to 12noon
Wednesday 07 October from 2pm to 4pm
Thursday 08 October from 10am to 12noon
Friday 09 October from 10am to 12noon
