Bristol Filming – Surviving Earth – St Jude’s

If ever there was a location to use for a story about a person who has overcome heroin addiction and set against the Bristol music scene, then St Jude’s is the ideal setting.

My Accomplice, is on Little Ann St this morning, filming for Surviving Earth.

The film is based on a true story. Set in present day Bristol, it follows Vlad’s story, a Serbian who fled to the UK in the 90’s from the Yugoslav Wars. After overcoming a heroin addiction, he now works as a drug counsellor in Bristol.

Starting a Balkan band with his friends from rehab, he struggles with his responsibilities, including the relationship with Maria, his daughter. Against the backdrop of music, success and rebellion, his struggles with the past are beginning to affect his present, leading to a potential relapse.

The film is directed by Thea Gajic and produced by Aleksandra Bilic, Jamie Clark and Sophie Reynolds.
