Bus Etiquette

Key Points To Remember:

Make sure you push in front of the people who have waited 45 minutes for the bus to turn up.

Do not have anything smaller than a £20 note.

Make sure this is right at the bottom of your bag, zipped up in a tiny little pocket.

If it’s raining, make sure you take twice as long to argue with the bus driver allowing everyone else to get wetter.

If you already have your ticket, make sure you DO NOT look for it until it is your turn to address the driver.

When it is extra busy, make sure you find a seat for both you and your tired bag to sit on.

Finished with the Metro? Of course the floor is the best place to leave it.

Remember, we can’t hear your music at the back so turn it up extra specially loudly.

We love dogs on the buses. Especially snarly ones. It’s even more fun when another dog gets on and they start to fight.

Finally, the drama of your personal life via mobile phone is interesting to all. We never did find out if you managed to pay your council tax or what happened with your conviction for shop lifting, so Shelley, make sure you update us next time you are on the bus.
