Butlin’s Launch Roving Photographers to cut down on Time Wasting Snap Shots

The Parent Paparazzi are spending more than 40 minutes of each day spent on holiday taking photos of their offspring.
According to a study of 2,000 parents, mums are taking an average of 24 photos a day of their family while on a break and spend just under two minutes framing a shot correctly.
Mums are also spending time uploading an average of six photos a day to social networking sites.
The research comes from Butlin’s, who are concerned that parents, especially mums, are missing out on precious holiday moments by spending too much time taking photos.
To alleviate any concerns Butlin’s may have, here are three typical photographs from our June 2016 holiday which shows a complete lack of framing, time, effort and composition.
But for those parents who would like high res images of their children in full on temper tantrum, Butlin’s now have roving snappers trained by Royal photographer Samir Hussein, to take pics of all the family together on resort.
Managing director of Butlin’s, Dermot King said: “We know there is incredible pressure on families today to share their lives on social media, especially whilst on holiday, and we’re as conscious as they are that this eats into their precious family time.
“However we also know that family photos have and always will be a treasured possession and therefore we wanted to help redress the balance.
“We are delighted to launch out new generation of roving photographers this summer – Butlin’s has always been able making and cherishing family memories.”
But perhaps mum’s persistence is vindicated, with adults saying they treasured photographs that were taken during family holidays. A total of 64 per cent said having family pictures printed were the only way they could remember the special times.
