Children want to set up a business

Starting a business and making money is the top New Year’s resolution for 38 per cent of UK children this year.

The research from Swapit.co.uk, found that children were more financially aware than parents might think.

Children aren’t expecting the British economy to improve this year, with 73 per cent hopeful of a recovery but 16 per cent convinced it will remain bad.

Youngsters are also aiming to help their parents out by generating cash through a part time job or selling their old toys.

A 40 per cent are planning on using less electricity and 20 per cent cutting back on their mobile phone.
