This witty story turns the notion of fairy tales on its head. A queen’s baby accidentally ends up with a poor farmer and their pig becomes the princess.

All the main characters think they have everything sussed because ‘it’s the sort of thing that happens all the while in books’.

Meanwhile, the real princess has a very satisfactory happy ever after ending. And back in the castle, a poor prince is marrying a pig.

Initially, the story starts off quite darkly, but its imaginative twists are entertaining and simply brilliant.
