Cut back on cold callers

Those parents with newborn babies or sleeping toddlers will know the all consuming anger that takes hold when some reckless person disturbs their sleep with a cold call.

There are two vital websites to help cut down the number of unsolicited phone calls you receive.

If you have the irritating call that cuts off or doesn’t connect, look them up on: http://whocallsme.com

It won’t stop them from phoning, but at least you are likely to find out from where the menaces are  contacting you.

To cut back on a large proportion of evil phone calls, register your phone number with the Telephone Preference Service. This is a free service which records your preference not to receive marketing calls. Once on the register, it is a legal requirement that organisations do not phone you. If they do, tell them you are registered with the TPS and ask them to remove you from their database.  www.mpsonline.org.uk/tps/
